WHO IS DOBBO?
Ben “Dobbo” Dobbin is one of Australia’s most loved media personalities and leading Auctioneers.
After finishing boarding school in Sydney, Ben moved to rural Australia, starting his career as a jackaroo in Brunette Downs in the NT and then moving to QLD to spend the next 15 years as a stock and station agent.
In 2012, Ben joined Triple M, where he started hosting "Dead Set Legends." Since then, he has become the lead commentator for rugby league in Queensland on Triple M.
Ben also co-hosts "Rush Hour" with Elliot Lovejoy, which airs daily from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and hosts the flagship program "Sunday Sin-bin." Additionally, Ben is a regular contributor to Channel 9 as their "League Insider."
Ben has an absolutely authentic point of view, where he will not shy away from the tough questions or hard conversations.
Ben’s other great passion is rural Australia where he hosts a radio show called “Rural Queensland Today” airing 9.00am daily on the Resonate Broadcasting Network providing current news and social affairs connecting the community through regional Queensland airways. You can also listen to the show streamed on all podcast platforms.
Not only does Ben spend his days calling football games and hosting radio shows but is most proud of his life as a dad to five beautiful children. In his spare time, he loves hitting the road, back to his roots of where he still has a significant connection to rural Australia.
